What do I need in order to get my R-Card?

You must present a driver’s license, passport or government issued ID at the R-Card Office. Students must be registered for classes to receive their R-Card. New hire paperwork must be received by Human Resources before an employee may receive their R-Card. Be prepared to have your picture taken.

Where do I go to get my R-Card?

You must go to the R-Card Office in the lower level of the Warren Administration Building .  

From Fairbanks Avenue , enter campus at the Park Avenue entrance (McKean Gateway) and proceed on Park Avenue to the end of the block.  

At the “T” in the road at the end of Park Avenue , turn left on Holt Avenue .

 Go past the soccer field on your left.

 The Warren Administration Building is the first building on the left.  

You may enter through the side entrance facing the Bush Science Center

When is the R-Card Office open?

The R-Card Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How much does the R-Card cost?

There is no charge for your first R-Card. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, there is a $15.00 replacement fee.

What do I do if I loose my R-Card?

You may suspend your card 24 hours a day at the Online R-Card Office at www.rollins.edu/rcard. Replacement R-Cards are available at the R-Card Office in the lower level of the Warren Administration Building , Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

I lost my R-Card. It is a night or weekend and the R-Card Office is closed. How can I access my residence hall?

Campus Safety can provide you with a temporary access card for your residence hall, Meal Plan Account and FLEX Account. The card will expire on the next business day that the R-Card Office is open. You must get a permanent replacement R-Card from the R-Card Office.

How much is a replacement R-Card?

The fee to replace a lost, stolen or damaged R-Card is $15.00. You may pay the replacement fee with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, R-Card FLEX or you may charge the fee to your Student Account.

What do I do if my R-Card is not working?

Contact the R-Card Office at (407) 646-1564 or rcard@rollins.edu and specify the location, date and time where your R-Card was denied. The R-Card Office will notify you of the cause and any action necessary to resolve the issue.

Do I need to get a new R-Card every year?

No. You keep the same R-Card for as long as you are a student or employee of the College. It does not expire. If you graduate or officially separate from the College, your R-Card will be turned off.

What is the difference between R-Card Meal Plan and R-Card FLEX?

The R-Card Meal Plan Account is a declining balance debit account that may only be used to purchase food and beverage items at any of the on-campus Dining Services locations (Bookmark Café, C-Store, Cornell Courtyard Café, Juice Bar, Dianne’s Café, Grille, Marketplace) and Domino's Pizza delivery.

 All R-Cards are also equipped with an R-Card FLEX Account which is a self-funded debit account that may be used to purchase goods and services all over campus. including laundry, copies, vending, postage, event tickets and text books and other items from the Bookstore.

What amount is deposited in my Meal Plan Account at the beginning of each semester?

For the 2004-2005 academic year, Arts & Sciences students that live in an on-campus residence hall (except Sutton Place ) will have $1,528.00 deposited in their Meal Plan Account at the beginning of each semester.

Why can’t I use Meal Plan funds to purchase items from vending machines?

The funds in your Meal Plan Account may only be used for the seven on-campus Dining Services locations (Bookmark Café, C-Store, Cornell Courtyard Café, Dianne’s Café, Grille, Juice Bar, Marketplace) and for Domino’s Pizza delivery. The college has separate contracts for dining and vending.

Why does the R-Card not work for the laundry room in Sutton Place?

When the college purchased the Sutton Place Apartments, the property had an existing multi-year contract with another laundry vendor. When that contract is complete, new washers and dryers with an R-Card reader will be installed in the Sutton Place laundry room. Current residents may use the separate laundry card machine that is available in the Sutton Place lobby.

Can I use my R-Card to purchase goods and services off-campus?

Currently, the only business outside of the Rollins College campus that accepts the R-Card as payment is Domino’s Pizza. Domino’s accept both R-Card Meal Plan and R-Card FLEX. To place your delivery order, call (407) 628-2623.

 There are no current plans to expand the R-Card program to other locations off-campus.
